The Sweet Studio is our way of giving back to the Colorado Springs community by providing a fun, open space for community events, creative workshops, and more! About Sweetwater’s New Sweet Studio
The Sweet Studio is an entirely re-envisioned creative space for people in Colorado Springs to explore their artistic side. Workshops held by Sweetwater florists, along with other industry experts in our community, aim to welcome anyone to come through our doors and leave with their very own hand-made creation. There is something unique and heart-warming about smelling the fresh floral aroma of your own handtied bouquet or filling your favorite room with the calming scent of our own hand-poured wax candle. And there is no sweeter gift than handmade jewelry for a loving family member. The Sweet Studio is the place for creating sweet treasures like these.
Sweet Studio Workshops & Events
Sweetwater Flower Market will host frequent workshops for wreath and bouquet making. You will want to follow our Facebook page and Instagram to keep up with event schedules or check our Events webpage! The wreaths are handtied with branches and twigs collected locally in Colorado. During our “Make Your Own Wreath” workshops, guests fill the gaps between the twigs with flowers and greenery of the season. As those flowers dry out, the stems will remain in-tact on the wreath for years to come, or you can swap them out for new flowers and greenery. Our
wreath making workshop lets you bring home a natural, ever changing piece of art! The “Make Your Own Bouquet” workshop by Sweetwater Flower Market walks guests through picking, arranging, and hand-tying the sweetest, freshest flowers.
Other classes held in the Sweet Studio will be hosted by more creative experts in the fields of candle making, jewelry, and many more sweet options. If you are familiar with the local goods stocked on shelves inside Sweetwater, you may recognize some of our new event hosts in the Sweet Studio! We aim to foster our relationships with other sweet creatives in Colorado Springs and beyond by welcoming them to share their expertise and skills with you.
Our very first guest workshop host is Jenny from Moonchild Candle! These workshops let guests get creative with soy candles. Guests pour their own candle with the scent they choose from the following options: Summer Solstice, Island Vibes, Orchid & Sea Salt, Lilac, Nashville, Peppermint & Eucalyptus, Bohemian Mystic, Pacific Coast, Lotus, and Home Sweet Home. The essential oils used to make these sensual blends for the candle making are certified free of harmful chemicals, reproductive toxins, allergens, or phthalates. The candles are made with 100% soy wax. All materials are provided along with light refreshments in the Sweet Studio. If you are worried about not having the creative ability to arrange your own flower bouquet or piece together jewelry, we are here to guide you! Our Sweetwater florists work every day to be wildflower in a field of roses. So when you find our florists in the Sweet Studio, they will talk you through arranging your own flower bouquet or wreath. Whether you are a novice creative or an old pro, our florists make sure you are proud of the creation you leave with. All future workshop hosts will embody the same sweetness of guiding others through the creative process special to their class.
These classes are perfect for a bestie’s day out, a bridal or baby shower, your corporate team retreat, birthday parties, group celebrations, family events, and so much more! The workshops and classes at the Sweet Studio require a flat fee, which varies by class.
